Workshops

Sustainability in the Preservation of Digital Media. Getty Conservation Institute. 2023. Organization assistant and participant. Working group meeting consisting of time based media conservators, archivists, digital media specialists, and artists. Aimed at identifying gaps in Time Based Media Conservation and suggesting tools to reduce barriers to entry.


Airbrushing for Conservators. Getty Museum. 2023. Participant. Learned various airbrushing techniques for toning fills, including application of various paint systems. Instructed by Tony Sigel.


Historic Sand Casting. Getty Museum. 2023. Participant. Created a sandcasting of a small object in a pewter alloy using traditional tools and techniques. Instructed by Madeline Corona, Arlen Heginbotham, and Robert Price.


Bronze Patination for Conservators. Getty Conservation Institute and Museum. 2023. Facilitation assistant and participant. Applied various chemical patination techniques to silicon bronze coupons. Instructed by patina specialist and metal finisher Andrew Baxter.


Emergency Planning and Response for Heritage Collections. 2023. Participant. Engaged in a series of lectures and hands on activities regarding the development and execution of emergency response plans for cultural heritage collections containing a wide variety of media and object types. Learned preliminary triage and salvage techniques for a variety of media. Instructed by Heidi Swierenga, Tara Fraser, and Liz Czerwinski of the British Columbia Heritage Emergency Response Network (BC HERN).

Emerging Conservation Professionals Network/ Contemporary Art Network (CAN!) Liaison. 2024. Liaised between these two AIC networks to provide programming for Emerging Conservation Professionals interested in modern and contemporary art conservation.


American Institute for Conservation Sustainability Committee Student Subcommittee Member. 2023 - Present. Created content for monthly Sustainability Now! eblasts, participated in monthly Sustainability Committee Meetings, collaborated with other Student Subcommittee members to advocate for sustainability programming within graduate programs.


Emerging Conservation Professionals Network/ Queen's University Art Conservation Program Graduate Liaison. 2022 - 2023. Developed and hosted a student-run information session about the Queen's University Art Conservation Program for prospective pre-program students. Corresponded with prospective students and provided them with further information about the Graduate Program.
